The Knights Hospitallers 1140-1200
These figures can be used throughout this period as they were required not to embellish their armour or show any sign of luxury and so may well have continued to wear outdated helmets etc. to the end of the century. Although these figures have shield bosses, by the mid century the boss started to disappear. So if you require the Hospitallers for the later period, you could snip off some of the bosses flush with the shield once they have been attached. All are wearing the cappa clausa. |
